The National Weather Service in Louisville has issued a * Flash Flood Watch for portions of east central Kentucky, north central Kentucky, and south central Kentucky, including the following areas, in east central Kentucky, Anderson, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, and Woodford. In north central Kentucky, Washington. In south central Kentucky, Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, Lincoln, Marion, Metcalfe, Monroe, Russell, and Taylor. * Through this evening * Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms will be possible ahead of a cold front today. The showers and storms today will be capable of very high rain rates, and could drop copious amounts of precipitation in a very short time, leading to potential flash flooding. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
