...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM THIS
MORNING TO 7 PM EST THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Scattered snow showers. Total snow accumulations of
less than one half of an inch in isolated spots.
* WHERE...Portions of south central Indiana and portions of
central Kentucky.
* WHEN...From 10 AM to 7 PM EST Monday.
* IMPACTS...Some snow showers may produce a burst of heavier snow
which could cause slick roads and reduced visibilities. Negative
impacts to the afternoon and evening commute are possible over
in the Bluegrass region of central Kentucky.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Scattered snow showers are expected to
develop during the day Monday. Falling temperatures, strong wind
gusts of 25 to 30 MPH, and some snow showers could develop into
more brief but intense snow squalls over in the Bluegrass
region of central Kentucky. These snow squall along with the
gusty winds can create reductions in visibility and rapidly
deteriorating road conditions, which can suddenly cause
dangerous travel conditions. Even outside of squalls, snow
showers and strong gusty winds may cause localized travel
hazards during the daytime, particularly for high profile
vehicles.
